Digital Imaging Arts Inc., the company that runs the
Center for Digital Imaging Arts in Waltham, Massachusetts, has recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The for-profit company listed assets from $500,000 to $1 million and liabilities from $10 million to $50 million. Digital Imaging Arts, founded in 2002, listed its officers as Robert Daniels, Robert Frazier, Thomas O’Brien and Cary Wolinsky, as of December 31, 2013. Frazier, who is listed as vice president, signed the bankruptcy documents.
According to a news story by Eric Convey appearing in the
Boston Business Journal, the website for
Boston University lists courses in animation, audio and video production and photography, some seeming to be taught by practitioners rather than academics. The university’s website states that it offers “certificates in various media-related fields”. A university spokesman, Colin Riley, said that the Chapter 7 bankruptcy will not affect BU or the students enrolled there. Riley avers that “’There’s no corporate relationship to BU.’”
