Nashville Healthcare Companies Seek Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

Alana Healthcare Pharmacy and
Alana Healthcare Infusion Centers, two subsidiaries of Nashville-based
Alana Healthcare, have recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in federal court. Alana Healthcare Pharmacy lists $13.9 million in liabilities and $1.7 million in assets. Alana Healthcare Infusion Centers lists $8.5 million in liabilities and only $154 in assets.
According to an article in the
Nashville Business Journal by Eleanor Kennedy,
ComVest Capital is the primary creditor on both bankruptcy filings, with both companies showing an $8.5 million claim by the investor.
Alana Healthcare Pharmacy lists seven other creditors, including a claim from
ASD Healthcare and several other claims ranging from $279 to $149,483. Alana Healthcare Infusion Centers has four other creditors for claims related to cleaning, contract labor and marketing.
