Hungry for Roast Beef-Arby’s Franchise Re-Opens after Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
Written by CFB Blogger. Posted in Blog
The
Arby’s restaurant in Kingston, Pennsylvania, had filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in July. Please see the prequel to this article on the
Client FirstBankruptcy , dated August 15, 2014.
Well, the good news is that this same location just reopened under new franchise ownership with more than half of their original staff. Their customers were eager to try the fast food restaurant’s curly fries and roast beef sandwiches (with Horsey Sauce?)
According to a news article by Eileen Godin for
www.timesleader.com, Bob Kelley, the new owner and senior vice president of operations with
Grant Avenue Development, said a grand re-opening for Arby’s is in the planning stages.
The Kingston location is the 40th Arby’s location for the new owners — Auburn, New York-based Grant Avenue Development. Other locations are Pittston, West Hazleton, Sayre and Mansfield in Pennsylvania as well as locations in New York and Virginia.
The franchise was previously owned by
Dijan Inc. All locations were closed following the Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing.
