Chrisley Apparently Does Not Know Best – Files Chapter 7
Written by CFB Blogger. Posted in Blog
Todd Chrisley, star of the
USA Network show
“Chrisley Knows Best”, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2012, claiming $49.4 million in debt and only $55 in his bank account. Somehow, despite his financial woes, the actor continues to live in a 30,000-square-foot luxury home. According to articles on both
www.examiner.com by Lana Bandoim and
Wetpoint, the celeb will need to turn over all of his emails to the bankruptcy court, due to doubts on the part of the bankruptcy trustee as to the truthfulness of Chrisley’s original filing.
Chrisley had originally averred that his designer wardrobe was worth only $600 but later mentioned that he spends $300,000 annually on clothing. Maybe he meant that one pair of shoes or one belt cost $600!
The bankruptcy trustee wants, with the court’s permission, for
AOL and
Google to allow him access to all of Chrisley’s emails since he thinks the star may be hiding money. The trustee has also suggested that Todd sell his clothing to at least partially pay off his debts. However, Chrisley reportedly rebuffed that idea, saying that this is not a good idea since used items would not bring in much money.
