Celebrity Polygamist Settles Bankruptcy Case
Written by CFB Blogger. Posted in Blog
Brady Williams, the husband/father on the
“My Five Wives” TLC reality show, has settled his Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, reports Lana Bandoim for the
Indianapolis Celebrity Examiner.
TMZ reported that the celeb polygamist will not need to repay any of his debt. Williams had owed $318,000 to a number of creditors.
Williams and his five wives have 24 (!) children and their assets are, understandably, extremely limited. Williams stated that he had only $3.61 in his savings account and $22 in his wallet. The Williams family will not need to sell any of their cars, which some of the wives need to get to work.
Most of the family’s debt arose from credit cards, which Williams (not surprisingly) blamed on his wives. A business loan is also partially responsible for the $318,000 debt total.
The family, wives Nonie, Paulie, Rhonda, Robyn and Rosemary and the two dozen kids, apparently does not receive enough income from the television show for them to live debt-free. The family of 31 spends $4,000 each month on groceries; that’s a lot of
“Hamburger Helper”.
