One-Time Heart-Throb Actor Files Chapter 7 Bankruptcy—Again
Written by CFB Blogger. Posted in Blog
Lorenzo Lamas, erstwhile soap opera star and son of long-ago movie star, Fernando Lamas, has filed his second Chapter 7 bankruptcy in ten years in the state of California.
According to accounts on
www.radaronline.com by Gina Bacchiocchi, Lamas claims to have only $9,100 in assets, including books, clothing and a paltry checking account.
Although the handsome/scruffy personality had his debts from
Credit One Bank, the
Directors Guild and collection agency United Recovery, discharged, the former star of
Renegade and reality-show
Leave It to Lamas reportedly has over $322,000 in debt that is not dischargeable in the bankruptcy. He owes more than $285,000 in federal and state taxes dating back at least ten years. He also owes some $19,000 in domestic support to his ex-wives and minor-aged children. Neither taxes nor spousal/child support is normally dischargeable under Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Perhaps Lamas can get a loan from his oldest daughter, Shayne Lamas, who won the final rose during the 12th season of
The Bachelor.
