Owner of Solar Panel Company Files Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
Written by CFB Blogger. Posted in Blog
Mark G. Miller, former owner/operator of
A.M. Sun Solar, a company that sold and installed solar panels, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Miller listed $22,000 in assets and $891,771 in liabilities in the recent bankruptcy filing of his Atascadero, California, business. The bankruptcy listing shows that Miller’s main debt is real estate loans.
According to an article by Julia Hickey on
www.sanluisobispo.com, a new business,
A.M. Sun Solar Inc., is being run by a former employee, Cory Howe. Howe reportedly started the business and acquired Miller’s clients in 2011, when Miller moved to Australia.
In the news account, Howe averred, “’We have been cash positive since the beginning… I just wanted to keep the credibility of the same name. I already know all his old clients, which is nice.’”
Howe, who would not comment on Miller’s departure from the solar business, suggested that the real estate collapse in 2008 affected Miller like so many others in this country and around the globe.
